OK, so 2016 was an interesting, perplexing and challenging year on all fronts. Perplexing most of all to be truly honest. As we close out 2016, I’m always one who likes to take a moment of reflection. You know, to assess how things went over the last 12 months and plan for the coming year. I’ll be honest that I don’t do this as regularly as I’d like, but I’m working to take some fresh steps in 2017…
As I set out on this journey, I’m bringing my family along and working to set a new regimen in the household around personal assessment and betterment. Each family member is responsible for building out their own personal assessment: Brady (9), Gavin (13), Sonia and me. My plan is to let the kids run wild with it – no boundaries. We will talk it out as a family and build our common understanding in the coming week, yet each owns the process in their own unique way. Maybe this sets a new tradition, maybe a way of connecting ourselves and the family with a sense of vision. I don’t really know, BUT I’m ready to try a new approach…
I’m sharing this as a way for us all to better ourselves, our communities and our world. Maybe some of you will take the time to consider a new approach and join us in this journey. Feel free to use any of the tools provided below. We’ll be updating our progress on a regular basis and we’ll live and learn together…
If you’re in, share your thoughts, ideas and refinements to the approach on Instagram with the #risetogether2017. Here’s to making fresh tracks in the new year!
